General Volunteering
Today we will serve over 1,500 meals, tomorrow we will do it again.
Volunteering to help another human being is one of the kindest things that any individual could do. In the past five years we have had such a pouring outreach of volunteers, and for that we can not thank you enough!
The Homeless Voice has been providing shelter and support to homeless individuals and families since 2001. It is through the support of our volunteers that we can provide such caring events such as food drives and meal servings to help ensure that those less fortunate than ourselves can get the help that hey need.
There are many ways that you could volunteer your time to help someone less fortunate. A few ways are by participating as a volunteer in some of our monthly events and holiday specials. You could also volunteer during the week and help serve food or other necessities to our homeless population.

Ways to Volunteer
You can volunteer your time individually or as part of a group – we have the need for both! Here are some great ways to volunteer:
Volunteer for Special Events
- The Spaghetti Social – Oct 20th at 11:00am to 12:00pm
- The Thanksgiving Special – Nov 20th at 11:00am to 12:00pm

- Breakfast Not Available for Volunteers

Have some questions about the volunteering process? Or maybe you just wanted to know a few extra things before deciding on how you are going to volunteer your time. Below are some frequently asked questions by past volunteers that may help you decide.

Q. Can groups volunteer?
A. Yes, both groups and individuals are welcome to volunteer.

Q. How much time is required to volunteer?
A. It depends. For general volunteering we have set schedules for things like meal time or clean-up. For special events we have specifically required times, but they too are not very demanding. Usually you can expect to volunteer about 2 to 5 hours of your time in a given day.

Q. Can kids volunteer?
A. Yes, both adults or kids can volunteer. Although we do encourage adult supervision for kids under 16.

Q. What do I need to bring when I volunteer?
A. It really depends on what you are volunteering for, but in most cases we will supply you with everything you need once you arrive at the event.

Volunteers and those kind enough to make donations are the heartbeat behind the COSAC Foundation and The Homeless Voice. It is truly because of you, that those who would otherwise be left out on the street are able to not only survive, but live in this harsh and unfair world.
