Haiti Flight: Organized by the Homeless Voice (cbs4)
A plane chartered by Davie-based Homeless Voice of South Florida left MIA this afternoon, volunteers Sean Cononie, Mark Targett, and Lois Cross bringing ready-to-eat military meals and 30,000 doses of antibiotics.
Though the Florida flights are not the first to bring supplies to a devastated Haiti, they are among the first large, private stores able to arrive.
Haiti: When enough is enough....
By Luis Salazar
We have been told that Divine Justice is perfect, always fair. But it is hard to understand how a country down on his knees for so long, still have to endure attacks from Mother Nature. We don't know yet if there was any way to prevent this from happening, maybe the damages are more intense because of poor maintenance of building and structures, in any case, the pain and suffering caused to the population in the island and families around the world especially those in South Florida, our neighbors, it is of a great magnitude.
